Credit Risk Analyst - Financial Services Firm
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze credit data and financial statements of borrowers to assess risk and determine the likelihood of loan default.
- Develop and apply credit risk models and tools to evaluate borrower creditworthiness and loan performance.
- Monitor and review existing loans and credit facilities to identify early signs of default or deterioration in credit quality.
Default Analysis:
- Investigate and analyze loan defaults, including the reasons for default and the impact on the organization.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations on default trends, risk exposures, and potential impacts on the organization's financial health.
- Work with collection and recovery teams to develop strategies for managing and mitigating the impact of defaults.
Risk Management:
- Develop and implement risk management strategies and policies to minimize loan defaults and losses.
- Collaborate with senior management to enhance risk assessment processes and improve default prediction models.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies related to credit risk and loan defaults.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Utilize data analytics tools to track and analyze key risk indicators and default patterns.
- Prepare and present regular reports on credit risk and loan default metrics to senior management and stakeholders.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of default cases and related financial data.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with credit officers, underwriters, and other stakeholders to provide insights and recommendations on credit risk management.
- Communicate findings and risk assessments clearly to both internal and external parties.
- Participate in meetings and discussions related to credit risk and loan default strategies.
Continuous Improvement:
- Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices related to credit risk and loan defaults.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and recommend enhancements to risk management practices.
Experience: At least 3-8 years of experience in credit risk analysis, with specific exposure to loan defaults and recovery processes.
