Independent Credit Review Officer for one of the leading commercial banks in Saudi Arabia

Employment title : Independent Credit Review Officer

Location: Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

Department: Risk Management

Typically reports to: Credit Risk Head

Job Responsibilities:

- The main responsibility will be to independently assess the credit risk in credit and investment proposals and make recommendations to the credit committee.

- In due course may also be given joint approving authorities to some extent.

Educational Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in finance, accounting, and/or economics /MBA/CA

Professional Experience:

- At least 8 years experience in a private/PSU bank with at least 5 years of experience in independent credit reviews and corporate banking with basic knowledge of all banking products (Treasury, Trade, syndications).

Personal requirements:

- Formal credit training preferred.

- Experience in reviewing and analyzing third party reports such as appraisals and environmental reports.

- Experience in analyzing financial statements, tax returns and related documents required.

- Credit management or accounting experience involving commercial lending required.

- Good working knowledge of commercial loan instruments and documentation.

- Must have experience in underwriting commercial loans.

- Proficiency in PC applications is required, with emphasis on Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint, including strong typing skills.

- Strong knowledge of credit risk policies and processes

- Strong verbal and written communication skills.

- Fluent in English

Remuneration: 90,000 US Dollars per annum
