EY ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES :
- The Senior Research Analyst is responsible for executing the research and content of multiple industries, including financial sponsors
- Supports credit risk management teams of global banks in credit risk assessment of corporates, through a thorough assessment of its credit strengths and weakness and weighing the business and financial risk profile.
- Conducts independent company-specific analysis, including preparation/ update of financial models/spreads
- Writes research reports that summarize analysis & findings, with minimal supervision, and requiring little editing or input from senior team members
- Manages deliverables with a focus on accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of data
- Contributes to planning around new content necessary or beneficial to existing clients in conjunction with the team
- Serve as a resource/mentor for junior team members and participating in transition training, as necessary
FUNCTIONAL & BEHAVIOURAL KNOWLEDGE :
- Has good in-depth knowledge of relevant industries and sectors
- Strong understanding of core finance and accounting concepts
- Has proven judgment in analyzing industry or company-related trends
- Ensures coverage is thorough and competitive
PROBLEM-SOLVING:
- Identifies and resolves complex research issues and takes a new perspective on existing solutions
INTERACTIONS :
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to participate/contribute as a team player
- Good communication and reasoning skills, ability to present research effectively to credit officers
MINIMUM & PREFERRED EDUCATION :
- Required; Masters in Finance/Economics or MBA. CFA certifications will be an advantage
MINIMUM & PREFERRED EXPERIENCE / SKILLS:
- 4+ years prior experience in credit risk/research of global corporates (public as well as private)
