Job Summary:

The Credit Manager for Loan Against Property (LAP) is responsible for managing and overseeing the credit evaluation and approval process for LAP products. This role involves assessing the creditworthiness of loan applicants, ensuring compliance with company policies, and minimizing risk exposure. The Credit Manager will work closely with sales, underwriting, and risk management teams to maintain a healthy loan portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

Credit Assessment:

- Evaluate loan applications for LAP by analyzing financial statements, credit reports, property valuations, and other relevant data.

- Conduct thorough due diligence to assess the creditworthiness of applicants.

- Make informed decisions on loan approvals, rejections, and terms of sanction.

Risk Management:

- Ensure adherence to credit policies and guidelines.

- Monitor portfolio performance and take corrective actions when necessary.

Documentation and Compliance:

- Ensure all loan documentation is complete and compliant with regulatory and company standards.

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all credit transactions.

- Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.

Collaboration:

- Work closely with the sales team to understand client needs and provide suitable credit solutions.

- Coordinate with the underwriting and risk management teams to ensure effective credit decision-making.

- Provide training and guidance to junior credit analysts and other team members.

Reporting:

- Prepare and present regular reports on loan portfolio performance, credit risk, and other relevant metrics to senior management.

- Analyze trends and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.

Qualifications:

Education:

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CFA, CPA) is a plus.

Experience:

- Minimum of [X] years of experience in credit management, preferably in the LAP sector.
