- The Credit Audit Head will be responsible for leading the credit audit function within the organization.
- This role involves planning, executing, and reporting on the internal audit activities related to the credit portfolio, ensuring that all credit risks are adequately assessed, monitored, and managed.
- The Credit Audit Head will also be responsible for evaluating the effectiveness of credit policies and procedures, providing recommendations for improvement, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Audit Planning and Execution:
- Develop and implement the annual credit audit plan in alignment with the overall audit strategy.
- Lead and manage audit teams in the execution of credit audits, including scoping, planning, fieldwork, and reporting.
- Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls related to credit risk management.
- Ensure that audits are conducted in accordance with established standards and methodologies.
Risk Assessment:
- Perform risk assessments of the credit portfolio to identify key risk areas and determine the audit focus.
- Monitor emerging risks and trends in the credit environment and adjust audit plans accordingly.
- Collaborate with the risk management and credit departments to ensure a comprehensive understanding of credit risks.
Reporting and Communication:
- Prepare and present clear and concise audit reports to senior management and the Audit Committee.
- Provide actionable recommendations to improve credit risk management practices and internal controls.
- Follow up on audit findings to ensure timely and effective remediation.
