Position: Credit Analyst
Job Description
Credit analysts performing thorough qualitative and quantitative assessment of credit risks. A Credit Analyst will be :
- Evaluating the financial performance of investment grade large corporate clients by spreading financial statements in standard templates; analysing economic conditions and industry trends; comparing counterparty performance relative to peers; client strategy and management assessment; incisive financial statement analysis using financial ratios, templates and models; complete covenant compliance; SWOT analysis and providing a near-term outlook and credit opinion;
- Responsible for the accuracy of internal risk ratings and inputting financial and economic data in SG's rating system;
- Keeping abreast of news/industry trend/economic issues which would potentially impact the counterparties and inform stakeholders as appropriate;
- Managing credit limits database and exposures, to ensure that they are consistent with the bank's needs and objectives;
- Working closely with onshore experienced Analysts and Credit Officers from different regions to evaluate risk and monitoring a client portfolio; and Responsible to research, write and present financial and industry analysis impacting credit decisions and submit the documents for approval.
Required Skills / Experience:
- MBA from top college/ Chartered Accountants;
- Minimum 2-5 years of relevant experience in credit analysis, preferably large corporate MNC clients;
- Strong analytical and financial modelling skills;
- Good understanding of financial statements and accounting standards pertaining to Asiapac/US GAAP/IFRS;
- Strong written (report-writing) and verbal communication skills;
- Thoroughness and attention to detail;
- Ability to learn quickly and be a team player; and
- Ability to work under pressure and consistently meet deadlines.
