Credit Analyst - Fixed Income - BFS

We have an exciting opportunity with a large investment management firm for a Fixed Income Portfolio Analyst to join our Fixed Income investment team.

The Research Analyst will work closely alongside Fixed Income Portfolio Managers and take primary responsibility for generating investment ideas in the fixed income space . The role provides an excellent opportunity for the successful candidate to progress to a Portfolio Management role. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years- experience in a buy side or sell side role, but exceptional candidates from Rating Agencies (with at least 6 years- experience) will be considered.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

- Conducting fundamental research and relative value analysis across Investment Grade, Crossover and High Yield markets

- Actively manage a debt fund portfolio.

- Conduct fundamental credit research on existing portfolio - and generate new investment ideas from across the market.

- Maintain up-to-date industry outlook - including regulatory developments and any wider factors impacting fixed income issuers.

- Conduct relative value analysis across a wider portfolio.

- Keep up to date with research and build and maintain financial models of relevant companies and sectors.

- Attend company roadshows and industry conferences.

- Develop a relationship with company management/investor relations as well as sell-side analysts, other buy-side analysts, independent research providers, and internal clients.

Other Activities :

- Assist with ad hoc projects as required (index analysis; portfolio risk analysis)

- Contribute to Fixed Income strategy - specifically providing in-depth macroeconomic analysis for India markets

- Assist in developing tools to monitor core Sovereign bond markets

- Provide additional ad hoc analysis on fixed income funds - stress testing and optimizing portfolio construction
