Credit Analyst + Debt Syndication

Location: Mumbai

Role & Responsibilities:

- Credit Analysis: Conduct comprehensive credit analysis of borrowers in the debt capital markets, including assessing financial statements, credit reports, and market conditions.

- Financial Modeling: Develop and maintain complex financial models to project future financial performance and evaluate the potential risks and returns of lending opportunities

- Debt Syndication: Responsibilities include the execution of securitization transactions (DA/PTC), including deal structuring, deal timelines, due diligence, transaction documentation and legal documentation. Managing strategic partnerships with banks and financial institutions. Assisting the team with advisory services related to raising term loans, fund-based and non-fund-based working capital.

- Risk Assessment: Identify and evaluate risks associated with lending proposals, including market, credit, interest rate, exchange rate, and legal risks.

- Appraisal Reports: Review and validate credit appraisal reports received from business group credit teams, ensuring alignment with internal credit ratings and lending guidelines.

- Market Analysis: Stay informed about macroeconomic trends, sector-specific developments, and competitive practices in the capital markets to provide informed recommendations.

- Portfolio Monitoring: Perform ongoing monitoring and analysis of the lending portfolio, identifying early warning signals and deviations from covenants.

- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and robust documentation of credit analysis, risk assessments, and lending decisions. Prepare and present periodic MIS reports to senior management and stakeholders.

- Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with business teams, legal teams, and other stakeholders to ensure effective credit recovery mechanisms and address issues with defaulting parties.

Key Skills:

- Education: CA or MBA

- Experience: 3-6 years in a corporate lending role.

- Must know financial modeling and quantitative analysis.

- Solid understanding of Debt Capital Markets and Syndicated Loans.

- Should have experience in handling syndication/ sanction of loans.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work under pressure

- Filing of required Banks/lenders/NBFCs formats for the processing of loan proposals
