Credit Analyst - Corporate Banking

We are looking for a Credit Analyst - Corporate Banking for a well-established MNC Bank. The position will be based out of Mumbai.

- To be responsible for a portfolio of clients and to analyse and prepare credit applications on counterparty transaction proposals, address Q&A with Credit Approvers, ongoing monitoring of the portfolio including Covenant Testing, Stress Testing, Sector Reports etc.

- Providing solutions and adding value to the Business by engaging in client and transaction discussions, due diligence, giving clear guidance on policy and risk appetite and influencing transaction structures and facility terms & conditions to mitigate risk.

- Provide clearly articulated views on whether a client and proposal is bankable and if not, where appropriate, providing alternatives and risk mitigating solutions.

- Given Bank's growth aspirations, transaction size and/or complexity, many transactions including new clients will require early engagement and close cooperation across different Business areas and support functions, in order to support and guide the Business in respect to risk appetite, due diligence, structuring, financial modelling and risk assessment.

- Engaging with the Business on early stage potential transactions, forming a view on these transactions and as appropriate, discussing and presenting these to the Credit Approvers.

Expertise Required:

- Should have worked either in KPO/Rating Agency/Bank as a credit analyst with experience in analyzing credit proposals.

- Good knowledge of corporate banking products such as ECBs, Working Capital, Bridge financing, Trade, Fx & Derivatives etc. including associated risks, customary terms etc.

- Working knowledge of legal and security documentation for term loans, working capital, syndicated facilities under Indian / English Law.

- Good business writing & communication skills

- Experience in large international banks managing similar portfolio and similar deal experience.

- In-depth knowledge in at least 1-2 sectors amongst Banks, NBFCs, Oil & Gas, Metals & Mining, Pharma & Healthcare, Automotive, Industrials / Engineering and TMT. Experience in assessment of large value proposal emanating from large Indian corporates and conversant with related regulations (RBI for Onshore as well as ECB for Offshore).
