Job Description:

Research about new concepts, trend spotting:

1. Research future fashion and current design trends, pop and design trends happening or gaining popularity in the industry (International and National) and generate insights through it.

2. Competitors research, market trends, forecasts and customer buying behaviour.

3. Understand the regional consumers and trends

4. Create strong product communication for consumer both online and offline

Strategic Planning for trend & concept preparation:

1. Conduct trends spotting in order to identify the trends which helps in understanding the market and provide in-sync services.

2. Ensure key trends and colours finalization by identifying futuristic colour schemes and designs for all ranges.

3. Ensure development design briefs for the trade show.

4. Ensure story finalization collaboratively with team for each design range.

5. Design silhouette direction/fabric & finishes, along with designing proposal with the design leads.

Range Development:

1. Ensure accurate and timely Mill Brief

2. Co-creation with mill and vendor partners

3. Ensure accurate SMR and SR release for all design ranges

4. Balance all design ranges for creating a seamless look

5. Ensure creation of graphics with design team

Brand Building and Marketing:

1. Ensure creation and implementation of creative concepts

2. Create visual briefs for the advertising campaigns with the team

Managing Trade Show:

1. Conceptualise trade show and create ideas to represent range

2. Manage design ranges samples movement

3. Create looks for different occasions and incorporate in trade theme/ideas

Visual Merchandising:

1. Work closely with the VM team to design and execute the trade shows

2. Design briefs for the trade show for all design ranges

Marketing Campaign:

1. Ensure key looks finalization for all design ranges

2. Ensure finalization of communication copy for all design ranges

3. Ensure finalization of poster/key visuals for all design ranges

Prototyping/sample creation:

1. Ensure creation of product samples for all design ranges

2. Ensure the finalization of samples and prototypes for range finalization

Team Management:

1. Setting, monitoring and reporting on team goals and their execution

2. Maintain the design team/staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting and training.

Role Requirement :


1. Proficiency in creating seasonal trends and concept

2. Market research and trend setting

3. Adherence to design calendar

4. Excellent skillset in VM concept and marketing campaign

5. Product communication and styling

6. In-depth knowledge of garment technology

7. Proficiency in computer-aided fashion design applications and digital visualization tools

8. Superior knowledge of fashion design principles along with Colour interplay for textile

9. Good Interdepartmental co-ordination and direction to sub-ordinates
