Country Procurement Manager

Job purpose

- To manage local Sub Categories of spend across the various divisions within a country; to lead the deployment and implementation of Procurement productivity initiatives.

Major accountabilities

- Analyzes the expenditure base to identify cost reduction opportunities; builds, documents, and continuously updates/maintains local supply market knowledge.

- Ensures optimum implementation of Category strategies in businesses, in close collaboration with site stakeholders, Lead the project and its implementation.

- Manages day-to-day business relationships to local suppliers.

- Assembles strategy for implementation of cross-divisional contracts, including methodology and reporting.

- Implements tracking tools and processes according to global guidelines.

- Overviews and monitors roll-out of projects against timelines, deliverables, as well as

KPIs.

- Provides monthly reporting to supervisor.

- Regularly communicates progress/issues to stakeholders and escalate roadblocks along with recommendations to resolve.

- Uses best practices in Procurement, such as CatMan and eSourcing and identifies ways to continuously improve efficiency and innovate.

- Monitors compliance and adheres to Company Procurement policies and procedures.

- Responsible for the collection of supplier, market, category and internal business data and information for the relevant categories at a country level

- Responsible for providing country-level input to, and validation for, Global Category Strategy and the Annual Country Plan including facilitating involvement of relevant country-level stakeholders

- Responsible for the creation, application and completion of country contracts for the category

Key performance indicators/Measures of success-

- Achievement of local, cross-divisional savings targets

- Share of volume through e-sourcing

- Compliance to mandated processes and guidelines (CC5 etc.)

- Meeting key milestones in implementation of projects in accordance with pre-defined timelines, activity plans, and expected quality

- Local supplier performance and delivery

- Quality of supply market and opportunity analysis

- Spend penetration Level

- DPO

- Preferred Supplier Adherence

- Contract Penetration

- Catalogue Penetration

Education : Bachelors in Engineering + Post Graduate in Management
