Job Profile
Strategy Planning and Deployment
- To understand and manage the requirements of the organization expectations.
- To plan, and formulate strategy, guidelines, and institutionalize processes & systems for ensuring the smooth running of all departments and country operations.
- Develop annual sales forecasts, targets and strategy for the various product lines in coordination with business planning department and ensure alignment with organizational strategy.
- Develop cross-selling strategies for all products across various regions within the Country.
- Accountable for P&L responsibility for all country operations, involving maximizing sales revenue for all product lines and optimizing costs related to daily plant operations, procurement costs etc.
Supplier Development and Relationship Management
- To develop of a robust procurement network with the mix of primary & secondary sourcing points.
- Setup and monitor dedicated channels for procurement aligned to industry segments – Auto, Domestic, Service, Government & Industrial.
- To monitor and ensure achievement of procurement targets and within stipulated procurement bands as per business plan.
- To monitor performance of Suppliers in collaboration with procurement team and development programs for the upgrade the suppliers’ efficiency.
- Risk management pertaining to supply of raw materials by developing multiple sources of critical/scarce materials.
- Monitor reconciliation of procurement accounts with suppliers periodically, ensure timely payments, and resolve any issues/escalations.
Operations Management
- Monitor and track achievement of production targets, and laid down quality and safety parameters.
- Monitor availability of material, infrastructure, manpower and equipment for production process and review and approve new equipments and machine purchase.
- Understand the growth plans of the organization, accordingly expand the plant capacity and bring necessary changes.
- Review the MIS reports and initiate necessary actions.
- Monitor and review compliance of manufacturing processes/operations for all local and international regulatory and statutory requirements.
- Benchmark the best practices/ideas generated by employees to improve existing processes and ensure implementation to achieve cost reduction and productivity enhancement.
People Management
- Set targets for the direct subordinates and ensure cascade in alignment with the overall business plans, conduct performance reviews periodically, identify critical people risks and action plan for mitigation.
- Develop second line of leaders in the country through coaching and mentoring and through capability development initiatives.
- Instill desired work culture among employees, monitor implementation of HR policies and processes, and address any escalations.
Educational Qualification: MBA (Operations),candidates preferred with exposure to African conditions and start up environment.
