Key Responsibilities:

Strategy

- Conduct market research by partnering with local research/ marketing agencies to identify market specific product requirements and prepare a compendium of molecules list by closely collaborating with R&D and PD; convey the same to Regional APAC Head

- Prepare annual sales forecast plan; devise the annual marketing strategy including identifying key distributor accounts to achieve the sales target

- Administration and management of subsidiaries in West Africa; initiate operation and execution of sales and marketing through subsidiaries

Country operations:

Products:

- Coordinate with internal stakeholders from R&D and PD to identify and initiate product registrations.

Maintain close relations with external stakeholders from regulatory authority to keep tab of upcoming regulatory changes in the market

- Travel extensively across the country to liaise with regulatory authorities/ field trials for product approvals

- Explore market opportunities for existing products and planning to ensure assured quality, timely supply and pricing

Channel:

- Establish distributor/ retail channel in West Africa to explore, evaluate and engage with relevant channel partners, vendors and distributors; attend meetings with existing and potential large distribution partners on a regular basis

- Develop negotiation pitches by carefully evaluating the partner's bargaining power; design and draft partnership proposals that align with the overall strategy and layout mutual benefits

- Manage and supervise imports/ warehousing and distribution; evaluate for supply chain investment requirements

Branding:

- Co-ordinate with Channel Partner in rolling out promotional activities/ awareness campaigns in collaboration with the engagement Partner (Agri Institute / FPO); gather farmer feedback on the activities/events organized in the past

- Prepare a comprehensive set of operational reports on promotional activities

- Conduct regular farmer meetings to ensure that customer related issues/concerns are captured and addressed

Manpower:

- Manage the front-line sales team and ensure timely collection of receivables with specific targets; travel across the country to meet with the partners on a regular basis

- Establish overall, aligned annual goals and KPIs targets for team members

- Drive sales training sessions, including identifying experts (internal/external), coordinating attendees

Policy, Process and Procedures

- Manage and track sales performance, provide regular updates to BU leadership

- Monitor the regulatory landscape in the country; keep tab on impending regulatory changes

- Ensure compliance with company policies for business operations
