About Our Client

Our client is a European FMCG company with a turnover of more than $3 billion having presence in over 60 countries. They are now planning to set up their nutrition division in India. Due to current expansion plans, the company is now looking to hire a Country Manager – India for their office in Mumbai.

Job Description

Reporting to the Regional Director Asia Pac, your responsibilities will include:

- Developing a strategy plan to take the company on a growth path in line with the group's ambitions

- Spearheading the Indian P&L having responsibility for delivering agreed Sales and Operating profit targets

- Forging new business opportunities and distribution partnerships by interacting with key stakeholders and negotiate contracts with a view to developing long term relationships

- Focusing on the commercial strategy for the nutrition business in India by servicing multiple channel partnerships

- Monitoring competitor activity in the marketplace and issuing a report monthly

- Creating and managing a structure and team to deliver on an agreed strategy

The Successful Applicant

- You are a MBA with atleast 10 years of quality experience preferably in FMCG/ Pharma sector (MNC only).

- You have demonstrated in past the commercial acumen to formulate business plan for a greenfield /new project and executing it in a regulated environment.

- You have strong commercial awareness and has a sales background of 4-5 years post which you moved to product strategy/brand management role.

- You have a flair of becoming an independent professional with maturity and complete understanding to handle P& L.

- You have prior experience managing a team in a multinational environment and have excellent interpersonal skills.
