About our Client - Our client is a world leading Commodities Inspection and Trade Finance support services business with operations across the globe. With a fast growing Asian presence, the firm has retained the services of Michael Page International to assist them in strengthening their team in India at the Senior Management level. Our client has an opportunity for a Country Manager India, in principle based out of North Mumbai.

Job Description - You will have full P&L and balance sheet responsibility and will be directly accountable for developing the Group's business in the country. Reporting directly to the Vice President Asia, your key accountabilities will be to:

- Prepare a development strategy for the affiliate, based on an intimate knowledge of the country's market condition and clients' requirements,

- Develop the Group's business in the country by the generation of sales of the Group's services in accordance with the Group's strategy, and, where appropriate, country-specific services,

- Prepare and presents business cases for new initiatives in the country such as investments, alliances, acquisitions, etc.

- Manage the affiliate's statutory corporate affairs in accordance with local regulations.

The Successful Candidate -

- The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in business development, minimum of 12 years of sound professional experience, in key managerial domains with financial accountability, preferably in the inspection industry.

- You must have a strong expertise and network in the business of minerals and/or commodities. The role is in principle based out of Mumbai.

- To be successful in this leadership position you also need to meet the following criteria i.e. Bachelor's in Engineering, Business, International trade or equivalent completed with an MBA, strong commercial awareness, effective communication and negotiation skills, ability to translate the Group's strategy into action.
