Country Head
Key Purpose of the Job:
1. Responsible for developing strategy for Sri Lanka and in-country expansion
2. Responsible for Revenue growth and profitability (P&L responsibility)
3. Develop business growth plan for both short term (1 year) and long term (3 yrs to 5 yrs)
4. Responsible for high level of customer centricity: Vendor and partner engagement, also on-board new products & services.
5. To develop an engaged and motivated team. Build capability and right skills to achive organization objectives effectively. Build leadership team and identify potential successors.
Educational Qualification / Experience required:
- Graduate in any discipline (including engineering), with a full time MBA (Sales and Marketing specialization)
- Needs to be proficient in the regional language (Sinhala)
- Good Understanding of IT Distribution business would be an advantage
- Experience: 20+ years of experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales & Distribution Management
- Develop goals and objectives for the organisation
- Develop complete strategic and financial road map for both short term and long-term (5 years)
- Conceptualize & implementation of competitive business strategies & revenue plans;
- Leadership responsibility of Sales and Strategic Key accounts for Sri Lanka
- Complete P&L responsibility for the business and delivery of business plan
- Built up excellent relationships with customers (vendor and partners)
- Build capability - Identify right competent people for the roles
- Analytics - To possess market intelligence, product pricing & competitive analysis
- Organize and coordinate operations in ways that ensure maximum productivity and cost efficiencies
- Build and maintain relationships with business and channel partners/vendors/suppliers
- Assess overall company performance against objectives set
- Vendor management from negotiation stage, ensuring the best margins in category to managing orders, supplies and promotions
- Conducting extensive business research & analysis to understand competitor activities, gaps & trends
- Identifying new opportunities and new territories and ensuring expansion plans as per management expectations; driving the profitability of distributors and supervising all aspects of the business
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong leadership skills with ability to manage and motivate high performing teams
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, relationship and negotiation skills
- Ability to understand the programs in entirety and develop proposals accordingly
- Excellent team work and collaboration oriented
