Job Overview:

- As the Head of IT, you are required to design, develop and deliver an IT road map for Network International.

- The role requires an individual with strong strategic, technical and operational capability with high levels of emotional intelligence, motivating and influencing skills.

- This is a challenging role as it requires IT to be transitioned from a reactive function to being a strategic and operational partner to the business.

Job Responsibilities:

- Provides overall leadership for NI in India. As such, the center head is responsible for executing the vision, mission and overall strategy of the GIC team, and creating and driving processes and programs that enable the team to meet objectives and improve NI’s business performance

- Primarily responsible for building a culture and brand that will attract and retain top talent

- Acts as executive leader in advising and coaching the team to ensure a common vision across the operation and provide consistent service and messages to the team members

- Designs and delivers a 5 year technology roadmap ensuring it aligns with the business objective

- Raises perception of IT and integrate IT to play a major part in the future of the company

- Provides leadership in the alignment of the IT and business strategy ensuring that the company gains full value from its investment in IT services and people;

- Accountability for setting the divisional IT budget and ensuring that the overall IT spend remains within pre-agreed tolerances;

- Provides accountability for the successful provision of all IT services, delivered either internally or externally, as required by the business;

- Chairs and attends various meeting and forums with the mandate to ensure that ongoing ‘readiness’ of the IT Strategy meets the needs of all business change Programs

- Acts as the final escalation point for service related issues ensuring that resolutions are sought and delivered;

- Lead the implementation of the IT strategy

- Develops and implements systems and processes to create a professional, delivery-focused environment whilst leveraging lean and/or agile methodologies to speed up development cycles

- Makes key technology decisions to ensure the company builds a scalable, robust and secure platform that can support rapid and significant growth practices;

- Reviews and develops project delivery processes to ensure appropriate levels of governance.

- Plans IT budget for building new system or improvement existing system taking into account priorities of all IT budget

- Primarily responsible for building a culture and brand that will attract and retain top talent

- Plays a critical role in establishing the GIC’s credibility with NI’s executives in India, and providing insight for prioritizing additional functions which can be performed in the GIC once established

- Acts as executive leader in advising and coaching the team to ensure a common vision across the operation and provide consistent service and messages to the team members

- Attracts and develops talented and diverse employees to drive overall performance of the GIC team and drive a strong partnership with the NI business units supported by the GIC

- Encourages and builds mutual trust, respect and cooperation among the GIC team, facilitating discussions and decisions around people, process and strategies to meet objectives

- Provides guidance and direction to the team, including setting performance standards, monitoring performance and guiding the team on the deliverables

- Plans for succession and provides ongoing development to talent in preparation for succession opportunities

- Works to stretch, challenge and develop leaders in the GIC in an effort to keep the leadership pipeline flowing

- Identifies developmental needs of others on the team and coach or otherwise help others to improve their knowledge or skills

- Creates a climate of engagement and productivity by empowering others and encouraging them to contribute ideas and make decisions

- Inspires productivity by establishing a clear vision and maintaining two-way communication

- Enables and promotes an inclusive, collaborative and diverse team and work environment

Desired Skills/ Competencies:

- A minimum of 10 years’ technology leadership experience. This must include a successful track record of building, managing and motivating high-performing, delivery-focused technology teams.

- Highly organized, structured and level-headed with a proven ability to perform under pressure and deliver results in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, start-up environment.

- Ability to link business requirements to new technologies

- Up-to-date insights in IT supply for hardware, software and services

- Ability to create and manage strategic plans in complex environment

- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills, diplomatic and business focused
