Role : Country Head, India Operations
Location : Bangalore
Our Client is a Fortune 100 MNC, currently seeks a highly dedicated and experienced leader to head its high growth operations. The individual will participate in the companies international growth and drive and support global initiatives. The main objective of the role is to manage the Indian entity of the company with full operational responsibility. This will include responsibility for business objectives comprising
- People & teams
- Business plans
- Continuous process improvement
- Facilities and infrastructure
- Compliance with country specific legal and corporate policies
- Companies branding and presence in India
For the near term, the main focus is on building a robust platform and organization structure to enable growth of the Indian entity, and develop the local team. The current size of the operation is over 500 employees and we expect it to be over 2000 people by next year.
Areas of responsibility :
- Lead the company in India to ensure effective and efficient performance of the center over the medium and long term.
- Responsible for country budgeting and business planning for an employee base of 2000+.
- Implement strategy, proactive management and resource planning in the country.
- Lead a team of direct reports, perform target setting and evaluation, coaching and mentoring.
- Develop and optimize suitable organization structures on an ongoing basis.
- Point of contact with Senior Management of company in USA and UK (CxO level, Department and BU heads).
- Build the companies India corporate brand, with a focus on candidate hiring.
- Responsible for ensuring compliance with legal provisions and companies in-house rules and regulations.
Competencies :
- At least 20 years of total relevant professional experience, with 7+ years in hierarchical management with profit/loss accountability.
- Built and run the India Center of over 2000+ people, in high growth environments.
- Ran operation spanning a diverse portfolio of business processes and technology. Adept at large scale transitions covering varied business and technology/ITES functions
- Worked with a diverse set of stakeholders globally.
- Varied, in-depth and wide range of exposure to different global models in services globalization, leading practices for each and been instrumental in implementing these to get measurable benefits.
- Evangelist of the onsite-offshore/globalization model; able to advise company on best practices, areas of growth etc.
- Fluent with establishing SLAs and KPI based measures. Driven measurable year-on-year efficiencies through implementation of continuous improvement programs utilizing methodologies like Lean and Six Sigma.
- Management of processes (technology, back end support functions, publishing related front end functions).
- Operational planning and management of teams (staffing, project management, change management).
- Business administration knowledge (including planning and corporate reporting - direct global as well as matrixed reporting- experience).
- Has strong local business network.
- Team leading experience, Coaching & Mentoring.
