Job Description
Marketplace Management
- Develop and execute a comprehensive marketplace strategy, including market selection, competitive analysis, and growth objective setting.
- Proactively manage inventory levels across multiple platforms, collaborating with procurement and supply chain to optimize stock availability.
- Foster strong relationships with marketplace account managers, negotiate favorable terms, and leverage opportunities for enhanced visibility and promotions.
Client Focus and Business Growth
- Cultivate and maintain robust client relationships within the assigned country through regular engagement and feedback gathering.
- Drive sales growth through up-selling and cross-selling, leveraging Assiduus' diverse product and service offerings.
- Collaborate effectively with key account management, supply chain, advertising, and finance teams to align marketplace operations with broader business objectives.
Financial Performance and Operations
- Own and manage the complete P&L for the assigned country, driving top-line and bottom-line growth to meet quarterly and annual targets.
- Monitor and optimise sales performance to achieve revenue and profitability goals.
- Develop and implement standardised operating procedures (SOPs) for the direct reporting team to enhance efficiency and productivity.
Compliance and Improvement
- Stay abreast of marketplace policies, guidelines, and best practices to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.
- Adhere to terms of service, product listing rules, and advertising policies to prevent penalties or account suspensions.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize marketplace performance and drive operational excellence.
The Successful Applicant
- Proven 12+ years of experience in managing multiple marketplace platforms.
- Demonstrated expertise in handling Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) and Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) brands, with a particular focus on the BPC, healthcare, wellness, and beauty sectors.
- A strong track record of driving revenue growth and achieving sales targets.
- Proven ability to take ownership and deliver results in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
- Successful experience in building and maintaining strategic partnerships with large-scale brands, including managing complex stakeholder relationships.
- In-depth knowledge of the e-commerce ecosystem and proven vendor management capabilities.
