Job Purpose:
- Lead Bank's (the Bank) in country franchise individually owning the strategy formulation and execution. Optimize the Bank's operating model and ensure business activities across all lines of business (LOBs) are conducted in a coordinated, ethical and compliant manner at all times
Key Result Areas:
- Demonstrate thoughtful leadership, guiding teams and providing the necessary support in order to achieve the highest financial and non-financial performance levels
- Chair relevant governance and business committees as mandated by local authorities, at a minimum, and the Bank's governance and control framework and play a material role in demonstrating appropriate risk management capabilities
- Oversee the continuous enhancement of the Bank's client experience by formulating operating models, in conjunction with HO, that drives innovation, digitization, service delivery and complaints management
- Execute on product, industry segments, cross sell, portfolio optimization, assets, liabilities, cross sell, revenue, profit and cost targets contributing to the achievement of the Bank's International Banking strategic objectives with particular focus on cutting through all relevant business lines (RBG, CIBG, IBG and TCM) to deliver a homogeneous firmwide offering
- Oversee the delivery on all regulatory expectations and supervisory visits with a demonstrated rapport with key governing bodies in the country
- Deliver on all Internal Audits, compliance monitoring programs and risk management expectations
- Own the budgetary short to medium term projections continuously tracking, analyzing and reporting performance against it
- Represent the Bank at regional and international banking meetings and forums to keep abreast of key industry developments and demonstrate the Bank's though leadership
- Meet diversity, inclusion and nationalization targets ensuring the Bank continues to add value in the country it operates in
- Instill a culture that is conducive to employee engagement and a dynamic working environment that embraces talent's growth aspirations, supports learning and development journeys and harmonize individual objectives with that of the Bank's while attracting and retaining talent
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
- Experienced and competent banker with relevant experience, strong knowledge and proven track record in banking and financial services
- 15 Years of Banking Experience at a senior / executive level in reputable local or International banks
- Proven high integrity and ethical standards is a must
- Strong communication, leadership and ownership skills backed by specific industry expertise and deep understanding of local regulatory dynamics
- Leadership skills to include visionary and strategic planning capacity together with interpersonal, communication, motivational & team working skills
- Master's degree, CFA or MBA is preferred
