About our Client - Our client is an international provider of business travel payment solutions for corporations, offering billing, accounting and analysis capabilities. Headquartered in Europe, they are a premium service organization with thousands of business clients and world's best airlines as partners across 60 countries. Given their large presence and growth in Asia, they are now looking to capture the Indian market.

Job Description - You would be responsible for the complete India Market entry strategy. Reporting directly into the Executive Director, Asia Pacific, you would hold the budget and revenue responsibility for the country. You would build strategic partnerships with regulatory bodies and implement the company's business model in India. At the entry stage, your responsibilities would be to:

- Develop and adapt products to local fit, based on market & competitor analysis

- Negotiate with local businesses & establish distribution channels (mainly airlines, travel management companies, bank partners, GDS (Global Distribution System), BSP (Billing and Settlement Plan))

- Manage legislative & tax frameworks - legal, regulatory and compliance

- Following market entry, you will recruit a local team (Account Managers, Sales Support and Customer Service) to increase sales. Managing the team from lead generation to successful closing & follow up of sales activities would be key in building sustainable revenue streams. In addition, you would:

- Work with global marketing team and internal team resources in headquarters, along with sales accountability to senior executives

- Evaluate prospect economies, technology and organization to determine the best method of implementing the preferred client-oriented business model

- Attend trade shows, seminars to track industry news and trends, existing & emerging technologies, and the latest product line developments

- Involves extensive traveling within India and internationally. Flexibility expected outside working hours in a home based position

The Successful Candidate - The successful applicant must have an entrepreneurial mindset with extensive experience in a comparable leadership position formulating market entry strategy. Understanding of Business Travel Management products or Corporate Cards / Corporate Payment Solutions is a huge plus. You must be able to operate initially in a standalone environment and have the vision, drive and energy to grow the business long term. In addition, you would possess:

- Track record of launching and building a business with an extensive India network

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with ability to manage challenging deadlines within a fast-paced environment

- Experience of operating in an international matrix management structure with European parent operating companies

- An academic qualification at graduate or post graduate level (preferably MBA) with a background in business, economics or management
