The Country Director - GCC is responsible for our overall business activity within the Global Capability Center (GCC) in India. The Country Director plays a pivotal role in ensuring that the GCC operates effectively, supports the organization's objectives, complies with local lawas and regulatiors, and maintains a positive and inclusive work environment. The GCC hosts associates who are members of teams managed by leaders in other countries and/or regions. Working closely with other country/regional functional leaders (Operations, Sales, HR, IT and Finance), the Country Director will focus on operational management within the GCC, and, from a strategic perspective, receive direction from the Presidents of our Business Units (Corporate, Workplace and Media). The Country Director reports to the U.S. based Chief Transformation Officer. KRA's: - Influence & Collaboration: The GCC leader will play a key role as a catalyst, influencer, and collaborator to ensure the efficient working and growth of the center. This is a matrix organization; thus, prior matrix reporting and management will be best suited. The incumbent will indirectly overlook and drive training, efficiency improvement, appointments, and development. They will oversee indirectly the overall budget adherence and profitability as well. - Strategy and Transformation: Collaborate with the Chief Transformation Officer to define the GCC's target operating model (TOM). Capture the TOM in a documented format and incorporate it into the GCC financial business plan and budget. Collaborate with managers, who are exploring the possibility of locating associates in the GCC, to understand how the GCC operates and what the benefits (including financial) and challenges might be encountered. - Collaboration and Feedback: Collaborate with country/regional leaders to collect feedback on the effectiveness of their GCC-based teams. Explore ways to enhance effectiveness and utilization within the GCC by evolving the TOM or adjusting responsibilities. Provide feedback on the allocation of work to associates as well as their progress with the quality and productive execution of that work. - Communication and Stakeholder Engagement: Disseminate the GCC TOM to relevant stakeholders, including functional leaders. Ensure that key stakeholders are aware of and understand the GCC's operations and potential benefits. - Human Resources and Talent Management: Work collaboratively with the HR Director to ensure effective HR programs (recruiting & retention strategies, workplace policies, training and development, performance management and benefits) are established that drive the achievement of overall business objectives. Assist in ensuring headcount targets are approved and met. - Strong knowledge of local labor laws, employment practices, and cultural nuances. Global engagement and experience are preferred. - Strong business acumen and understanding of the local business environment, market dynamics, and competitive landscape. Ability to align strategies with country-specific business goals and drive organizational success. - 10+ year's experience in technology or related industry. 7+ years experience in leadership roles, including leading global teams. - A passionate leader with an entrepreneur spirit, who has had management experience in small to mid-size GCCs for international, ideally US based, ideally, IT or technology, companies. - Strong communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written. Ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to diverse audiences and influence stakeholders. - Proven ability to develop and execute business strategies aligned with business objectives while considering local market dynamics and regulations. Experience in driving cultural change and managing organizational transformation. - A bachelor's degree (or country equivalent) in Business Administration, or a related field is typically required. A master's degree or additional certifications is preferred.
