JOB TITLE - Service Manager
THIS POSITION REPORTS TO - Service - General Manager
OBJECTIVES OF THE JOB :
1. Responsible for providing an effective link between the customer and the workshop and thereby ensure continuous flow of jobs to the workshop to maximize profitability. Retain customers by meeting customer expectations and expand the range and quality of the service department's customer base
QUALIFICATIONS: (THOSE REQUIRED TO DO THIS JOB EFFECTIVELY) - Diploma B.E. / B. Tech in Mechanical / Automobile Engineering from a reputed institute
SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE : (SKILLS / LANGUAGES ETC.) Hands-on experience in usage of tools and fault detection software, Competitor awareness, Administrative abilities, Dynamic, Team leader, Out going,
Decision-making ability - IT Skills MS Office
Languages Proficient in English, Hindi and the local language
FIELD OF WORK:
MAIN TASKS DESCRIPTIONS:
1. Responsible for workshop loading and achieving defined targets by number of job orders and service volumes
2. Ensure prompt, polite and efficient contact with potential and existing customers. Identify their individual needs and provide service required to exceed expectations.
3. Ensure customer satisfaction through quality and timeliness of work done for customers
4. To maximize customer loyalty and retention, by ensuring that customers receive constant care and attention.
5. To receive and deliver vehicles in a manner which enhances customer satisfaction and optimizes dealer profitability.
6. To increase sales for the department by promoting service offerings (example. Extended warranty, service contract etc) and for the whole dealership by liaising with the parts department for sales of accessories, collection etc and by notifying the sales department of any vehicle sales opportunity.
7. Obtains market information on competitive dealer service, and current market conditions including service promotions, labour rate etc
8. To help obtain prompt payment of customer invoices by ensuring the details are accurate and by following procedures regarding payment reminders etc
