Job Title: Cost Accountant

Location: Vadodara

- We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cost Accountant for some of our Chemical client companies based in Gujarat.

- The ideal candidate will have 3 to 18 years of relevant experience working in reputable chemical companies.

- As a Cost Accountant, you will play a key role in analyzing, monitoring, and controlling our company's costs to ensure efficient operations and profitability.

Responsibilities:

1. Analyze and report on production costs, including direct materials, labor, and overhead.

2. Develop and maintain cost accounting systems, processes, and procedures.

3. Monitor and analyze inventory valuation and reserves.

4. Prepare cost forecasts and budgets, and compare actual costs to budgeted costs.

5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements.

6. Conduct variance analysis and provide explanations for variances.

7. Assist in month-end and year-end close processes related to cost accounting.

8. Prepare and analyze cost reports for management review.

9. Support internal and external audits related to cost accounting.

10. Stay current with industry trends and best practices in cost accounting.

Requirements:

1. Qualified ICMA/ICWA

2. 3 to 18 years of experience in cost accounting, preferably in the chemical industry.

3. Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles, practices, and standards.

4. Proficiency in cost accounting software and ERP systems.

5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

8. Attention to detail and accuracy.

9. Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

10. Knowledge of regulatory requirements related to cost accounting.
