Corporate Tax Manager/Corporate Tax Specialist Position Overview: The Corporate Tax Manager/Specialist is responsible for overseeing the tax-related activities of the corporation. This role ensures that the organization complies with all relevant tax laws, regulations, and policies, and strategically plans to minimize tax liabilities while maximizing tax benefits. Key Responsibilities: Tax Compliance: - Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns for the corporation. - Ensure compliance with tax laws and regulations. - Manage audits and inquiries from tax authorities. - Monitor changes in tax laws and advise on potential impacts. Tax Planning: - Develop and implement tax strategies to optimize the corporation's tax position. - Analyze potential tax liabilities and savings. - Advise on mergers, acquisitions, and other business transactions from a tax perspective. - Collaborate with internal departments and external advisors to plan for and implement tax-saving strategies. Financial Reporting: - Oversee tax-related aspects of financial reporting, including deferred taxes and tax provisions. - Prepare and review tax-related disclosures for financial statements. - Ensure accurate and timely tax reporting under relevant accounting standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS).
