Corporate Strategy Lead - NBFC
Responsibilities :
- Formulate growth strategy options for the businesses by analysing global trends tracking competitors' business models and their future plans.
- Assist in developing valuation models capturing and analysing key assumptions to arrive at the target initial value.
- Conduct the due diligence on the financial commercial and management aspects on the target company by identifying inconsistent areas in the past developing workable options and coordinating with various corporate functions.
- Identify new business opportunities and evaluate the strategic fit into the portfolio
Job Purpose :
1. Assist the Project Head/Team Leaders of Corporate Strategy in formulating advice to the Chairman on the strategic matters of businesses and execute the business development activity of the identified new areas of investments.
2. These would include execution of the strategy, evaluating proposals including mergers and acquisition, dealing with data, doing detailed analysis and financial modelling, generating strategic options, detailed planning to achieve the project objectives as a team leader or part of the team.
Supporting Actions :
1) To Appraise proposed projects in a given :
- To Develop parameters to evaluate time so that the investment decision can business be taken based on the key
- Define the addressable market and do key recommendations competitive benchmarking
- To Understand the strategic model and evaluate the strategic fit of the proposal
- To Assess the key assumptions
- To create burden of proof for a point of view
- To Validate the financial model
- To Prioritize the recommendations
2) Assist in developing Business Strategies :
- To Develop key success factors outline for vision and strategic action plan for the for the business and to evaluate in businesses framework of portfolio
- To interact with thought leaders, consultants and strategists
- To chart out a plan of action for the medium term strategy execution
- To collect key information and run through various scenarios by developing key financial models
3) Evaluate investment proposals for making
- Do a detailed assessment of the key long term investment plan opportunity
4) Participate in the M&A activity :
- To help assess the strategic fit of M&A specific assignment
- To help Generate strategic alternatives
- To form a team for executing action plan
- To assist in appointing various external agencies like investment bankers, consultants as the need may be
- To do the financial modelling and help identify the key deal issues, sensitivities and negotiation issues
- Structure the terms of the alliance
- Contribute in the closure
5) Assist in new business development :
- To complete the entry of the company in a activity for entry new business including help in identifying the area, help in developing strategic blue-print, business plan, help in selection and appointment of consultants & bankers(in case of acquisitions etc.), making detailed partner search and profiling them, assisting in interviewing key management
- To ensure the timely implementation

6) Competition Analysis :
- Take up responsibility of keeping the updating of the key strategic issues of key competition in at-least one business
