Purpose of Role

We are looking for a Corporate Staff Accountant to join our team! You will be working in a fast-paced, challenging, and growing environment, responsible for all phases of general ledger accounting. You are a valued expert, expected to deliver high quality, accurate results, while efficiently maintaining and enhancing existing accounting processes, systems, and controls.

Key Accountabilities:

- Assist in the corporate month-end close process, preparing journal entries, and ensuring business transactions are recorded in accordance with GAAP.

- Assist in the consolidation process.

- Assist in recording corporate allocations to the business units.

- Preparing monthly/quarterly balance sheet reconciliations with supporting documentation.

- Preparing monthly/quarterly balance sheet and income statement fluctuation analyses.

- Assist in the preparation of the monthly and quarterly financial packages.

- Assist with annual financial audits, including preparation of documentation requests and inquiries.

- Assist with tax request for the preparation of annual and quarterly tax deliverables (i.e. tax provisions, tax returns, and quarterly tax estimates).

- Support the Corporate Accounting Manager in evaluating existing processes and recommend opportunities for improvements in efficiency, accuracy, and timeliness.

- Assist in the implementation of Sarbanes-Oxley.

- Assist and oversee ad-hoc projects, as required.

Essential Skills, Knowledge and Experience

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field

- Must have a minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience

- Public accounting experience and CPA certification (or equivalent) preferred

- Proven knowledge and application of US GAAP

- Highly organized and results-oriented

- Entrepreneurial mentality

- Ability to work independently with minimal direction to accomplish objectives

- Demonstrates initiative to follow up on pending issues and organize assigned work

- Team-building skills and the ability to establish effective relationships and rapport with a wide variety of individuals

- Experience working in a fast-paced environment

- Experience working in a remote environment

- Experience with ERP systems (Workday preferred)
