Job Summary:
We are currently seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Financial & Legal Trainer with 3-5 years of relevant experience to join our team, you will play a pivotal role in managing statutory filings, ensuring compliance with tax laws, and overseeing the preparation of financial statements.
Your expertise in financial regulations, strong problem-solving abilities, and commitment to accuracy will be essential in delivering high-quality financial services to our clients.
Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary trainer for employees on statutory filings, compliance, and financial statements preparation, providing expert guidance and support.
- Develop and deliver training programs on timely and accurate filing of statutory forms and returns with the Registrar of Companies (ROC) and other government agencies, mentoring junior team members in this process.
- Stay updated on changes in the Companies Act, income tax provisions, TDS regulations, GST laws, and other relevant statutes, and train the team and clients on compliance requirements.
- Lead training sessions on the preparation and review of complex financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, ensuring adherence to financial reporting standards.
- Conduct workshops on the preparation and filing of income tax returns, ensuring compliance with tax laws and regulations.
- Manage training on TDS compliance activities, including deduction, payment, and filing of TDS returns, and provide guidance on resolving any related issues.
- Collaborate with internal teams to address legal or compliance issues related to statutory filings and financial statements, providing strategic input and solutions.
- Ensure strict compliance training on GST regulations, overseeing the timely filing of returns, reconciliation activities, and resolution of GST-related queries.
- Deliver accurate and reliable financial training to clients, proactively addressing any queries or concerns and providing strategic financial advice where necessary.
- Maintain meticulous training documentation and records related to statutory filings, compliance, and financial statements, ensuring accessibility and compliance with confidentiality requirements.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement within the finance operations function, implementing best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness through training programs.
Requirements:
- Degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 2-3 years of progressive experience in finance operations, statutory filings, and financial statements preparation, preferably in a CA firm environment.
- Expert knowledge of the Companies Act, income tax provisions, TDS regulations, GST laws, and financial reporting standards.
- Proficiency in accounting software and tools, such as Tally, QuickBooks, or similar platforms, with the ability to leverage technology for improved financial processes.
- Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in financial statements and compliance filings.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively liaise with clients and internal stakeholders, conveying complex financial concepts clearly and persuasively.
- Proven ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, while also providing mentorship and guidance to junior team members.
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and other MS Office applications, with the ability to manipulate data and create insightful financial analyses.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and the capability to address complex financial and compliance issues with strategic insight and practical solutions.
- Demonstrated commitment to maintaining client confidentiality and delivering exceptional service, building and maintaining strong client relationships based on trust and expertise
