India's major sweets and snacks manufacturer is currently looking for Corporate Head HR.The incumbent is expected to supervise and provide consultation to management on strategic staffing plans, compensation, benefits, training and development, budget, and labor relations. Also expected to take a leadership role in developing a culture that enables employees to perform in accordance to a firm's objectives. In addition, HR Head can lead performance management, talent assessment, and effective labor relationships, including negotiating and administering labor agreements.
Key Deliverables:
Development of the HR Department:
- To lead and support the development and implementation of HR policy across all areas of the organization including improving performance and providing effective management of change.
- Work with the HR team to develop, coordinate, implement and audit all HR activity within the department and across the organization.
Training & Development:
- Effectively structure programs to attract and retain top talent.
- Defines all Human Resources training programs, and assigns the authority/ responsibility of Human Resources and managers within those programs.
- Leads the implementation of the performance management system that includes performance development plans (PDPs) and employee development programs.
Employee Relations:
- Formulates and recommends Human Resources policies and objectives for the company with regard to employee relations.
- Partners with management to communicate Human Resources policies, procedures, programs and laws.
- Determines and recommends employee relations practices necessary to establish a positive employer-employee relationship and promote a high level of employee morale and motivation.
Compensation & Benefit Administration:
- Establishes the company wage and salary structure, pay policies, and oversees the variable pay systems within the company including bonuses and raises.
- Monitors all pay practices and systems for effectiveness and cost containment.
- With the assistance of the superiors, obtains cost effective, employee serving benefits; monitors national benefits environment for options and cost savings.
Legal:
- Leads company compliance with all existing governmental and labour legal requirements.
- Directs the preparation of information requested or required for compliance with laws. Serves as the primary contact with the company employment law attorney and outside government agencies.
Organization Development:
- Designs, directs, and manages a company-wide process of organization development that addresses issues such as succession planning, key employee retention, organization design, and change management.
- Manages employee communication and feedback through avenues such as company meetings, suggestion programs, employee satisfaction surveys, newsletters, employee focus groups, one-on-one meetings, and Intranet use.
- Understand and monitor the organization culture so that it supports the attainment of the company's goals and promotes employee satisfaction.
- Leads a process of organization development that plans, communicates, and integrates the results of strategic planning throughout the organization.
