Experience : 7-9 years post article ship

Job Responsibilities :

- Responsible for managing month end close within the stipulated time and helping Management in research of material variances.

- Preparation of monthly management reports and financial review packages.

- Working on technical accounting matters and working with various business units to consolidate data and recording it accurately.

- Identify and implement process improvement with sharp focus on automation

- Strong knowledge of transactions processing and ability to handle volume.

- Periodically review and discuss aging reconciling reports with senior management

- Participate in special accounting related projects (ledger enhancements, reporting changes, etc)

- Interact and partner with various business units teams in India and US to strengthen processes

- Determining root causes of outstanding items and recommend corrective actions to business units, controllers and management.

- Work extensively with external and internal auditors

- Focus on cross training existing team members and training of new hires.

Key Result Areas :

- Timely and accurate submission of monthly and quarterly financial data

- Timely and accurate accounting of servicing business and managing new transactions

- Identification of internal control gaps

Skills :

- Proven track record of automation and standardization of processes

- Experience in US GAAP accounting

- Knowledge of Mortgage servicing businesses or financial industries (preferred)

- A team player with ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

- Knowledge of application like MS Access and SQL (preferred)
