- We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Accountant to join our growing team.
- You will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting for our UK-based clients.
- This role requires a strong understanding of UK GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and UK tax regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Finalize accounts for UK companies, including preparation of: Profit and Loss statements, Balance Sheets, Annual accounts statements, Notes and reports per IFRS guidelines
- Reconcile bank accounts, revenue, and other control accounts (VAT, PAYE, NIC) to determine amounts due to or from HMRC (UK government tax agency)
- Conduct thorough ledger scrutiny for all accounting entries, reclassify and rectify errors before finalization
- Calculate corporation tax and prepare tax returns
- Prepare VAT summaries, CT calculations, and debtors control accounts
- Ensure quality control, on-time delivery, and accuracy of all work performed
- Maintain strong client relationships and ensure client expectations are met
Qualifications:
- Bachelor'/Master's degree in Accounting or a related field (ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent qualification a plus)
- Minimum 4+ years of experience working as a Senior Accountant or similar role
- Strong understanding of UK GAAP and UK tax regulations (VAT, PAYE, NIC, Corporation Tax)
- Proven experience in finalizing accounts for UK companies
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in accounting software (e. g. , Xero, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel is essential)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Working Days and Hours:
- 5 days week, Monday to Friday
- Office time: 11am-8 pm
