Position Summary :

- A seasoned technical and people leader with payment domain knowledge.

- Person will be accountable for all development testing, production support and implementation related activities Planning, analysis, design, development, quality assurance, non- functional testing and release management for projects in Cards division (Debit, Credit and Digital areas).

Job Responsibilities :

- Responsible for integration with multi- location (geographically distributed) and multi- role teams to ensure timely delivery.

- Interact with BU and project teams to prepare and publish project scope, objectives, project plan and schedules; develop detailed work plans and status reports.

- Ensure timely and quality delivery of features.

- Lead and mentor the QA development, program management & design teams on technical implementation and user scenarios.

- Having a neutral approach to issue resolution is a must without getting biased to Dev/QA/Prod/Infra etc.

- Should have led and managed delivery teams of 100+ associates

- Be an escalation point for all matters related to testing and quality assurance and operate as a primary point of contact for the QA teams.

- Gather and present testing metrics and testing activities of projects to all key stakeholders.

- Ensure consistent progress towards a modern and agile test automation coverage across all projects.

- Monitor all the QA activities, test results, leaked defects, root cause analysis and identifying areas of improvement. Drive continuous improvement QA function.

- Provide technical expertise in Test Automation, Testing Methodologies, Testing Processes, Tools and Techniques across the teams.

- Driving and improving the QA team in areas of automated testing and agile testing.

- Manage training and continuous learning of QA staff by means of short courses, conferences, meetups, certifications, etc. Ensure the proper usage of available tools to gain the maximum benefit of the QA effort.

Job Description :

- This is a player/coach role where there will be both tactical and strategy around the quality function.

- Should have 15+ years of experience and must have a proven track record of building QA teams, managing the function and direction of the QA teams.

- The role requires strategic thinking and planning and provides expertise throughout the entire product development life cycle with a strong sense of quality ownership making sure that quality is integral from the beginning of the lifecycle.

- Should be able to provide regular direction, mentoring, and coaching to QA team members, ensuring the success of the team's manual and automation testing.

- Collaborate with QA managers, Development managers to develop and execute QA strategies to meet and exceed department and corporate quality goals.

- Must have a good understanding of STLC(Software Testing Life Cycle) as well as SDLC(Software Development Life Cycle) .

- Encourage them to upgrade their skills with the changing technologies .Passionate for testing, Automation development, and test designing.

- Will have ownership of QA environments across all Product Verticals. Working closely with the Infra team to define the optimal solution for each platform.

- It is important for the Head of QA to oversee the delivery and maintenance of automated scenarios and frameworks based on industry best practices.
