This opening is with our parent group Company, Moody's, based out of our Gurgaon offices. The position would be on the payrolls of Moody’s Shared Services India Pvt. Ltd.

Responsibilities:

- Provide leadership for the overall MSSI team

- Learn and instill relevant Moody’s culture and values to the MSSI workforce: the way Moody’s operates

- Assist MSSI team in supporting global processes (i.e. ensure functions are properly supervised and maintain appropriate staffing to support Moody’s global operations)

- Report out on overall state of the MSSI operation on a weekly basis

- Identify and liaise with each Moody’s functional owner on regular basis

- Liase with Copal Management

- Review, validate and distribute KPI’s to Moody’s functional leaders. Where KPI’s cannot be created, Manager will need to devise alternate review measures

- At a minimum travel twice a year to the US and UK as well as Hong Kong once a year.

- Be aware of projects which require involvement from MSSI staff.

- Perform sample reviews of work performed by MSSI staff to ensure accuracy and timeliness

- Ensure contingency plans are in place for all facets of the business (beyond just staff attrition)

- Anticipate and manage business, employee or other issues as they arise. Provide recommendations for each such issue.

- Develop progression and contingency plans for MSSI managers, supervisors and staff so there is a smooth transition when turnover occurs

- Improve process efficiencies across all functions at MSSI

- Cross train MSSI staff on the different functions

- Backfill for MSSI functional managers when needed.

- Raise all personnel issues to functional managers in MSS including recommendations for hiring and firings.

- Work across Moody’s departments to ensure that Moody’s policies are implemented/followed(e.g. Employee items such as Code of Conduct, Securities Trading, Procurement policy, Travel Policy, etc.).

- Communicate breaches of Moody’s policy and elevate appropriately.

- Where there are inconsistencies between Moody’s and Copal’s policies, notify MSS managers and work to convert to the Moody’s policies as directed by the MSS managers

- Oversee MSSI employee recognition schemes and communicate to Moody’s management

- Ensure proper set up is completed timely for new hires (security, training and hardware)

- Work with Copal to ensure we have proper IT and HR support on a daily basis

Qualifications:

- Must have a bachelor’s degree or equivalent. Master’s degree preferred

- At a minimum speak and write English and Hindi. Understanding of additional languages preferred

- 10 years experience, including at least 3 years of management experience in an Indian based shared service entity of a large multi-national company.

- Knowledge of Microsoft Office.

- Knowledge of a major financial system (preferably Oracle)

- Strong written and verbal communication skills required.

- Strong organizational skills, analytic skills, and attention to details.
