Job Description - Lead & oversee daily operations of the company ((Technology, Middle Office, Operations, and Risk Management) for the Institutional Equities (IE) business

Client Details :

A large & established financial services firm in Mumbai with a niche in the capital markets and trading sector

Description :

- Oversee daily operations of the company (Technology, Middle Office, Operations, and Risk Management)

- Build an understanding of all the processes required to run the business

- Provide technology ownership to the business and manage the overall technology initiatives - with focus on trading systems and applications

- Trading risk management and controls

- Business risk identification and mitigation

- Evaluate performance by analysing and interpreting data and metrics

- Manage relationships with partners/vendors

- Design and implement operational strategies, plans and procedures

- Overall executive management of the company as part of the executive management team

Profile :

- Engineering or Masters degree with hands on experience in trading systems & applications like omnesys, greek software, in-house institutional trading systems - from handling and implementing the applications to building algorithms, development and maintenance

- 12+ years of experience in capital markets with strong experience in institutional broking industry across technology & business processes

- Experience in working with business operations & Risk

- Demonstrable experience as part of an executive management team or board

- Detailed understanding of operational and regulatory requirements

- Outstanding organisational and leadership abilities

- Aptitude in decision-making and problem-solving

- Excellent interpersonal skills
