Contrast Capital Management LLC is a boutique asset manager manager based in Boston, USA, with a strong pedigree and track record. The firm was founded by Francis Claro, a senior investment professional with over 20 years of experience managing multi-billion dollar funds for leading asset management firms in the US. We are fundamentally oriented global equity investors. The firm is in an exciting phase as we have produced a solid track record of delivering superior risk adjusted returns over the last few years and are expecting solid growth in AUM.
At present, one of our analysts is located in Bengaluru, India, and travels to Boston as needed. In order to support our growth, we are looking to add another professional based in Bangalore/Pune/Mumbai/Delhi/Kolkata/Chennai/Hyderabad who will work closely with colleagues in Boston and Bangalore on a broad range of areas including public relations and social media, marketing and customer outreach, operations and research for whitepapers.
We have some fantastic investment strategies and we want the new staff member to help the firm be more recognized. They will be an integral part of our team and as such will grow along with the firm. The role will provide a fast-paced, constantly evolving and exciting opportunity to break into a highly competitive industry. We are a close-knit team with a flat hierarchical structure that promotes frank and open discussions and meritocracy.
Job Description includes, but not limited to :
- Conduct outbound cold calls and send emails to prospects with the aim to set up formal client meetings for the firm's portfolio manager
- Keeping records of all feedback/insights received from potential clients during initial phone conversations
- Create and execute an effective, results oriented social media strategy
- Liaise with print and TV media outlets
- Create and maintain blog posts and twitter feeds with the portfolio manager
- Work with the Boston based portfolio manager and investment analysts to create portfolio updates, monthly letters, press releases. Liaise with clients and vendors as required.
- Prepare marketing materials (presentations, investor letters, attribution analysis, portfolio characteristics, benchmarks, etc.)
- Conduct market research and planning as well as lead generation; contact potential investors to introduce the firm and set up meetings for the portfolio manager
- Collaborate with the Boston based portfolio manager and investment analysts to create white papers / books to be published on the firm website and other
- Support compliance and operational functions
Skills and characteristics required include :
- 3 years plus prior background in media, marketing, finance with clearly relevant and applicable experience to the role
- Preferably graduate degree in business or finance
- Highly entrepreneurial, creative, enthusiastic, flexible, productive and resourceful person who enjoys independence, unstructured environments, quick learning and problem solving. Strong passion for the asset management business.
- Outstanding ability to express thoughts clearly in written (PPT/Word/Excel/Email) and oral form. Ability to build a conversation with senior investment professionals globally by sharing details about our firm and answering any queries about our investment philosophy or return history.
- Strong quantitative skills
- History of strong work ethic, self-motivation, initiative, resourcefulness, and success
- Ability and desire to multi-task and work independently, helping to shape the projects being completed. Temperament to work in uncertain environments requiring maximum flexibility
The role will enable the candidate to work full time remotely from their home, as we are headquartered is based in Boston. We will provide telecom, IT and any other infrastructure needed to seamlessly integrate you with our operations in the US.
