Contrast Capital Management LLC is a boutique hedge fund manager based in Miami and with a strong pedigree and track record. The firm was founded by Francis Claro, a senior investment professional with over 25 years of experience managing multi-billion dollar funds for top asset management firms in the US.
Contrast has built an outstanding performance track record and investment process. The firm is in an exciting stage, having produced strong returns and is experiencing strong growth in AUM.
To support our growth, we are looking to add a professional based in Bangalore/Pune/Mumbai/Delhi/ Kolkata/Chennai/Hyderabad who will work closely with our U.S. and India based teams and clients in a range of areas including investment and other research, corporate AI projects, accounting, marketing, operations among other tasks. They will be an integral part of our team and as such will grow along with the firm. Contrast has successfully employed India-based staff for many years.
The role will provide a fast-paced, constantly evolving and exciting opportunity to break into a highly competitive industry and get both a broad and deep view of the investment management business. We are a close-knit team with a flat hierarchical structure that promotes frank and open discussions and meritocracy.
Job Description:
- Work with the US and India based portfolio managers and associates on research projects and support the team with administrative and trading functions as required.
- Identify and integrate AI tools into the firm's work processes and investment processes.
- Help refine go-to-market strategy and communications for our investment products.
- Preparation of marketing materials (presentations, investor communications, attribution analysis, portfolio characteristics, benchmarks, etc.). Provide client support.
- Conducting market research and planning and generating leads; reaching out to potential investors to introduce the firm and set up meetings for the portfolio manager.
- Support operational functions such as reconciliation of returns and portfolio balances reported by prime broker with other vendors of the firm. Provide support to the firm's compliance program.
- The role will enable the candidate to work full time remotely from their home. We will provide telecom, IT and any other infrastructure needed to seamlessly integrate you with our operations in the US and India. Contrast Capital's lead Portfolio Manager and a large portion of the investment prospects are based in the U.S. As a result, the role will require partial overlap with U.S. business hours.
Profile, skills and characteristics required:
- Graduate or Postgraduate degree. Strong academic results.
- CPA/CA/CFA candidates
- 1-2 years of experience with strong preference for financial services experience. Experience in engaging clients/prospects and digital marketing skills a plus.
- A highly entrepreneurial person who enjoys independence, unstructured environments and quick learning with the ability to multi-task and helping shape the projects being completed. Flexibility to adapt and thrive in an environment with changing priorities and deadlines.
- Strong passion for the asset management business.
- Strong communication and quantitative skills.
- Ability to express thoughts clearly in written (PPT/Word/Excel/Email) and oral form. Ability to build a conversation with senior investment professionals globally by sharing details about our firm and answering any queries about our investment philosophy or return history.
- Should have strong project management skills and be able to provide clear time bound actionable for the team to ensure high quality work.
- History of strong work and personal ethics, good communicator, fast learner, self-motivation, initiative, resourcefulness, persistence and success.
