About the role:

This role involves leading projects and overseeing the delivery of rewards benchmarking and design engagements for clients within a specified industry or group of industries. Key responsibilities include driving industry growth and developing thought leadership, generating revenue from both new and existing clients, fostering strong client relationships, providing expert guidance on Rewards and Benefits, interpreting data for clients, reviewing survey findings, and actively engaging with current and potential clients to cultivate long-term partnerships. Collaboration with internal stakeholders, such as Survey Operations, is crucial to ensure top-tier rewards consulting and product delivery.

What this role offers:

- As a leader in your industry/segment, you will expand our presence, develop content, and share insights with clients, establishing yourself as a trusted resource on industry dynamics, roles, and rewards strategies.

- Proactively participate in business development by engaging independently with key stakeholders in potential client organizations to identify opportunities for sustained, long-term relationships.

- Increase industry footprint by growing the number of participants in the Industry Total Remuneration survey (where applicable) year over year, securing projects with new clients, and recruiting new clients to participate in industry surveys.

- Develop deep expertise in rewards trends within specific industries, positioning yourself as a go-to expert and offering consulting advice based on informed perspectives.

- Identify opportunities for repeat business or multi-year contracts with existing clients, maintain regular communication channels, and host networking events to share Mercer's latest research.

- Meet revenue targets based on industry metrics and product categories, collaborating with consultants aligned with your industry.

- Regularly monitor revenue and sales pipeline against targets, analyze invoice data and sales forecasts, and provide guidance to consultants accordingly.

- Expand and manage the client base through retention of existing clients and acquisition of new clients.

- Ensure successful project delivery through effective project management and service delivery.

- Provide market insights derived from ongoing work to benefit clients.

- Engage in client interaction and thought leadership activities within each industry, including partnerships with forums.

- Outline and review recommended solutions with Business Leaders, present solutions to clients, and adapt them as needed.

- Facilitate effective communication and resolution of queries specific to your industries.

- Support recruitment efforts for open positions within your cluster or industry, ensuring timely hiring and successful onboarding of new hires.

Qualifications:

- MBA/Postgraduate degree in Human Resources or equivalent from a premier institution.

- 4-8 years of post-qualification experience, with relevant expertise in compensation (consulting experience preferred).
