Consultant/Senior Consultant/Manager - Life Actuarial - Global Consulting Firm

Urgent openings at Consultant/ Sn Consultant, Managers, Project Managers, AVP levels for Life Actuarial to be based at locations of Gurgaon/Noida. 

Role Overview:

- Minimum 2-12 years- of actuarial experience in life insurance.

- Should be an Associate/Fellow of IFoA, SoA or IAI.

- Experience of working in international markets such as US, UK is preferred. Good working knowledge of PBR, LDTI, IFRS17, Solvency II is mandatory.

- Must have exposure in actuarial modeling, model testing & validation.

- Must have exposure to at-lest one actuarial software such as MG-Alfa, GGY Axis, Prophet. Experience in Python, R, Matlab is desirable but not mandatory.

- Advanced life insurance and actuarial knowledge, strong technical, analytical, problem-solving and interpersonal skills, effective communicator to superiors, peers and subordinate, good command of the English language, demonstrated leadership qualities.

- Must contribution towards new business development such as assessing pain areas for our clients, generating solutions for clients

- Assist in learning and development of team members

- Identify and participate in continuous improvement initiatives

- Ensure compliance with Data Privacy and Protection Guidelines

Key Responsibilities:

- Complete understanding of the current state of affairs and problem statement

- Interacting with clients on regular basis, understanding their requirements and transforming that into business framework and providing actuarial solutions

- Manage a team of 15-20 actuaries and data scientist.

- Initiate and lead process transformation/automation initiative.

- Provide coaching to team on build actuarial models for annuities, retirement, term product etc.

- Provide coaching to team on build testware, challenger model and perform UAT testing, Unit testing, regression testing etc. for Actuarial model testing & validation.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Candidate Profile:

- Bachelor's/Master's degree in economics, mathematics, actuarial sciences.

- Affiliation to IAI, SoA or IFOA. Preferably qualified or an associate actuary.

- At least 2+ years- experience, with good understanding of Life products - pricing, modeling, Model testing and valuation

- Exposure to US life insurance market is preferable.

- Experience with SQL, Advanced Excel, VBA is required and knowledge of Python is an added advantage.

- Affiliation to IAI or IFOA, and exam criteria;

- Student Actuary : at least 3 actuarial exams

Experience level required;

- Student Actuary : 2+ years

- Knowledge of US life insurance products is required

- Prior experience is Pricing/Modeling is preferred

- Knowledge of GGY-Axis, Prophet, R, SAS, Python, Power BI/ Tableau or any other actuarial software would be good to have

- Strong ability to learn technical and business knowledge

- Superior analytical and problem-solving skills

- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills

- Able to work in fast pace continuously evolving environment and ready to take up uphill challenges

- Is able to understand cross-cultural differences and can work with clients across the globe- Bachelor- s/Master's degree in economics, mathematics, actuarial sciences, statistics
