Consultant - SAP ABAP - IT

As an SAP ABAP Consultant, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and supporting SAP ABAP solutions that meet the needs of our clients. You will work closely with functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications. Your role will involve coding, testing, debugging, and deploying ABAP programs, as well as providing support and maintenance for existing SAP solutions.

Key Responsibilities :

- ABAP Development: Design, develop, and implement custom SAP ABAP programs, including reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, and forms (RICEFW).

- Technical Specifications: Collaborate with functional consultants to gather requirements and create technical specifications for ABAP development.

- Code Optimization: Ensure that the ABAP code is optimized for performance and adheres to best practices. Perform code reviews to maintain high-quality standards.

- Testing & Debugging: Conduct unit testing of ABAP programs and support functional teams in system integration testing (SIT) and user acceptance testing (UAT). Debug and resolve issues in existing ABAP code.

- SAP Enhancements: Develop and implement SAP enhancements using user exits, BAdIs, enhancement points, and other SAP enhancement techniques.

- SAP Workflow: Design and develop SAP Workflow processes as needed to automate business processes.

- Support & Maintenance: Provide ongoing support and maintenance for SAP ABAP programs, including troubleshooting issues and implementing bug fixes.

- Documentation: Create and maintain detailed technical documentation for all ABAP developments, including coding standards and best practices.

- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including SAP functional consultants, business analysts, and project managers, to ensure successful project delivery.

- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest SAP technologies and ABAP advancements to continuously - improve and optimize ABAP solutions.

Qualifications:

- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in SAP ABAP development with a strong understanding of SAP modules and integration points.

Skills:

- Proficiency in SAP ABAP programming including reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, forms (RICEFW), and SAP scripts.

- Strong knowledge of ABAP Workbench, Data Dictionary, and ABAP Objects.

- Experience with SAP enhancements and modifications using user exits, BAdIs, and enhancement points.

- Experience in developing SAP Workflows and ALE/IDoc configurations is a plus.

- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Notice Period: Preference will be given to immediate joiners or candidates currently serving their notice period.
