Position Summary :
- The Consultant is the owner of the solution possibilities that the cloud infrastructure can offer to the market. He works closely with the business and operations team to ensure that a relevant solution is proposed to the customers, and, on receipt of the orders, delivered to the customer.
- This resource will be the technology evangelist, and help evolve the product catalogue, working closely with the Product SME.
Key Responsibilities/Tasks :
- Capture detailed customer requirements
- Design appropriate solutions with mix available in the product catalogue, with specific understanding of complexities involved in creation of public, private and hybrid cloud environments
- Keen understanding of the storage technologies, especially Software- defined- Storage is desired
- As the product catalogue evolves, with introduction of partners, to ensure that relevant documentation is available for solution creation and communication to the market
- Define SLAs, prepare solution diagram and define scope of opportunity
- Get internal sign-off on proposed architecture
- Share High Level Design with customer
- Revise the solution based on customer feedback
- Sign-off on the final proposed solution with customer
- Work closely with the internal operations team, hardware suppliers and cloud technology provider for solutioning and streamlined deliveries
- Work with the sales teams to address customer needs and manage customer interactions and expectations
- Interact with commercial teams in fine tuning the final proposal
- Drive project kick offs
- Participate in seminars and present whitepapers
- Help marketing in creation of case studies and collaterals
- Keep track of technology trends
- Necessary to interact closely with the Cloud Technology provider to be aware of the possibilities of the platform and how to extract more value from the same
- Provide inputs for creation of the product catalogue
- Roll-out framework for process oriented approach to handle the special, large and complex business opportunities
Required Qualifications :
- Post graduate diploma OR Masters in business management and Bachelor in Engineering
- 6- 9 years of relevant work experience in cloud, data centre services and managed services
- Sound understanding of virtualization technologies, systems, storage and data centre technologies
- Excellent communication and technical writing skills
- Ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders / vendors on commercials and bid submission timelines
Preferred Qualifications :
- BE/ B. Tech, with MBA/ PGDBA
- VM Ware Solution Designer/ Citrix Solution design/ Storage expertise (EMC/ NetApp et al)
- Data Centre Services or Cloud Services Domain
