Job Description:

As a Capacity Building Coordinator, you will be responsible for facilitating the enhancement of skills and competencies within Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) through strategic planning and coordination of capacity building initiatives. Your primary duties will include:

Key Responsibilities:

Analyze Feedback:

- Evaluate feedback received from ULBs' annual capacity building plans to identify areas for process improvements and opportunities.

Learning Needs Assessment:

- Identify common learning needs across municipal corporations and contribute to the development of courses on the IGoT platform (Integrated Government Online Training).

Training Needs Assessment:

- Conduct comprehensive assessments to pinpoint specific training requirements and determine appropriate delivery mediums for ULBs' functional, domain, and behavioral competencies.

Curriculum Development:

- Review existing courses available on the IGoT platform and collaborate with stakeholders to develop standardized curriculum outlines tailored for ULBs.

Collaboration:

- Collaborate with online platforms, training institutes, and subject matter experts to facilitate the development of high-quality courses aligned with ULBs' needs.

Stakeholder Engagement:

- Engage with stakeholders such as the Capacity Building Commission, Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA), and State Urban Development Departments (UDDs) to gather feedback on capacity building initiatives and ensure alignment with broader objectives.

Strategy Development:

- Develop strategies for Trainings of Trainers (ToTs) to enhance the capacity of instructors.

- Create tools and methodologies to measure the impact of capacity building interventions effectively.

- Facilitate workshops and seminars conducted by the Capacity Building Commission (CBC) to disseminate best practices and promote knowledge sharing.

Qualifications and Skills:

- Degree in a relevant field (e.g., Education, Public Administration, Urban Planning).

- Proven experience in capacity building, training, or organizational development within the public sector, preferably in urban governance or related domains.

- Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess feedback and identify areas for improvement.

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to engage with diverse stakeholders effectively.

- Familiarity with online learning platforms and curriculum development processes.

- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.

- Understanding of government policies and initiatives related to urban development is desirable.

Additional Information:

- This position may require occasional travel to engage with stakeholders or attend workshops/seminars.
