Job Position - Compliance Manager
Reporting to - COO
Location - Pune
As a Compliance Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that the organization operates in strict adherence to all applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
Your primary goal will be to mitigate compliance risks and maintain the company's reputation as a law-abiding and trustworthy financial institution.
You will play a crucial role in creating, implementing, and maintaining robust compliance programs while actively collaborating with various departments to foster a culture of compliance throughout the organization.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Regulatory Compliance: Stay up-to-date with relevant laws, regulations, and guidelines governing the HFC/NBFC and ensure the company's operations align with these requirements.
- Policy Development and Implementation: Develop and maintain comprehensive compliance policies, procedures, and controls to meet regulatory standards and internal risk management needs.
- Internal Monitoring and Auditing: Perform regular internal compliance audits and assessments to identify potential risks, weaknesses, and non-compliance issues.
- Implement corrective actions and monitor their effectiveness.
- Reporting and Documentation: Prepare and submit accurate compliance reports to senior management, board of directors, and regulatory authorities, as required.
- Regulatory Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact for interactions with regulatory bodies, responding to inquiries, and ensuring timely compliance with information requests.
- Risk Assessment: Collaborate with the Risk Management team to assess compliance risks and support the development of risk mitigation strategies.
- AML/CFT Compliance: Oversee Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Counter-Terrorist Financing (CFT) compliance efforts, including customer due diligence and suspicious activity reporting.
- Data Protection: Ensure compliance with data protection and privacy laws, safeguarding customer and employee data.
- Code of Conduct: Promote a culture of ethical conduct and integrity within the organization and investigate any reported breaches of the code of conduct.
- Monitoring Regulatory Changes: Keep abreast of changes in regulations and proactively adapt compliance processes to comply with the evolving regulatory environment.
Job requirement/Skills:
- Proven work experience as a Compliance Manager or in a similar role within the HFCs/NBFCs.
- In-depth knowledge of relevant financial regulations and guidelines for HFCs/NBFCs.
- Familiarity with AML/CFT regulations and procedures.
- Strong analytical skills to identify and address compliance-related issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to liaise with various stakeholders.
- Certification in compliance or risk management (e.
, CRCM, CAMS) would be an added advantage.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in interpreting complex regulatory information.
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills to handle compliance challenges effectively.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
- High ethical standards and integrity.
- Adaptability to changing regulatory environments.
