This role requires very good stakeholder management in a matrix team structure. The individual should be driven and structured with very good communication skills. Strong knowledge of payroll with experience in vendor management is a must have. Candidate must have conducted salary benchmarking, structuring and grading.
Role Description:
- Determine stated and unstated client needs by continuously engaging with internal and external stakeholders
- Managing annual and quarterly headcount projections across the organization and preparation of the corresponding budgets
- Track budget v/s actual variance, RCA and remedial actions
- Validation of new hire payroll inputs, F & F Settlements
- Prevailing tax laws of the land and adhere to the statutory needs as per the tax laws
- Preparation and/or validation of salary variance inputs
- Working with the finance team on the month on month variances and reports change in the components
- Front-end employee queries on payroll, benefits and work towards customer delight
- Handle escalations and exceptions with both internal as well as external stakeholders to drive desired outcomes
- Drive a culture of knowledge sharing and cross utilization of work products and solutions
- Structure all work products, insights & solutions to drive balance between our documentation guidelines and client preferences
- Drive quality assurance across all deliverables and ensure compliance to organization norms and standards
- Publish dashboards and relevant metrics
- Work with internal and external audit teams to ensure compliance
- Streamline processes and lead the automation efforts
Ideal Candidate Experience:
- Domain knowledge: India Payroll, Total rewards strategy, Benefits Administration, Statutory Compliance and remittance, Vendor management, Tax structures and Automation efforts, Leave and Time off data reconciliation
- Compensation and benefits strategic understanding
- India payroll execution including leave, time off, bonus structure and incentives
- Industry best practices in compensation fitment and total rewards strategy
- Budgets: Hiring budget management, cost projection
- Rewards: Total rewards strategy including benefits administration
- Statutory Compliance: Timely remittance of statutory payments related to payroll
- Stakeholder Management: External stakeholder management including vendors and financial institutions
- Internal stakeholders include Business Heads, HR peer group and Business enabling functions
- HR metrics: Reports on variance, budgets v/s actuals, pay sheet check and controls, ad-hoc reports
- Exposure to HRMS including HCM and payroll modules, preferably Workday
- Team management including work allocation, tracking progress and reporting improvements
- Knowledge of Income tax laws, benefit schemes including GPA, GTL, GMC
