BACKGROUND TO THE POSITION
Candidate's Role:
As a member of the Global Center of Expertise for Total Compensation, strategize, design, plan, and facilitate implementation of Total Compensation, Benefits and International Assignments solutions so as to address business challenges; drive consistency of total compensation practices with global direction, with appropriate customization for local delivery.
This would be a Regional role providing support to all 13 countries on various compensation and benefits projects with a special focus on Greater China Market (China, Hong Kong, Taiwan).

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Total Compensation:
To partner with the country Field HR managements in developing C&B solutions to support the people strategies of the Company
To demonstrate the efficacy of the COE structure to the country management by positioning it as an in-house C&B design and strategy consultant and Subject Matter Expert group capable of offering best in class customized solutions
To provide analyses to the management team regarding people productivity and return on people investments; to offer potential C&B design solutions for optimizing investments in salaries and benefits
To liaise closely with industry peer groups and assimilate emerging C&B trends and practices so as to explore potential fit with existing and anticipated business / people challenges
To liaise closely with global Total Compensation team members to assimilate and spearhead global initiatives in the region; conversely, to influence global thinking and policy direction so as to reflect imperatives of the region
To take up projects spanning across the A-Pac region so as to drive consistency of practices across the region and facilitate development of common leveraged C&B solutions
To develop expertise at the regional level in areas such as market pricing, benefits, sales incentives, long term incentive plans
To partner with the Global HR Operations group so as to develop technology/operational interfaces that support self service and facilitate ease of access to information and analytics to improve quality of compensation decis
Experience in leading projects and undertaking program design work is a key requirement
Specialization in benefits and / sales incentive design would be a distinct advantage
Experience of working in multiple countries and dealing in a diversified cultural milieu would be a distinct advantage
Tools:
Excel, Powerpoint, knowledge of IT systems like Psoft, SAP is preferred
