Compass - Senior Program Manager
- The candidate needs to have a minimum of 10 years of experience running program management in a 200 person organization in a top multi national software company.
- The areas will span both technical and non-technical aspects of work. The responsibility is to define metrics for each areas of and meticulously track them. Should have the ability to flag early warnings. Candidate should have experience of basic analytics and have proficiency in SQL and excel pivots. Knowledge of Grafana is an added advantage but not essential.
- In the engineering areas, examples of metrics are code commits in github, defects, customer feedback, etc. Candidate should be able to work with engineering managers, local and remote, establish the metrics and get the required data through automated mechanisms from the engineering managers for their employees. Non tech metrics include recruiting statistics, employee feedback, budget utilization, retention stats, etc. The job also requires tracking critical compliance issues and will have to work with legal, accounting, banking partners of Compass.
- The candidate must have excellent written and verbal communication. The ability to work with stakeholders in a highly matrixed and distributed organization across India and US is a must and requires excellent collaborative skills. The written documents need to be highly metrics focused and data driven. Data measurement and analysis is essential to attaining superior performance in every facet of business and the position is the key driver to make that happen.
- The candidate must have an MBA from a top tier institution with preferably a specialization in operations management and data analytics.
