Overall Purpose of the Role:
To help setup a retail vertical for Compass India focusing on designing the spectrum of solutions which shall help the FS and SUS business to pitch for additional revenue levers spread across vending, micro retail, pantry services, coffee plus retail and hot beverage vending. The role shall entail working with external and internal partners to deploy these solutions in a standardised, modular, and cost-effective manner giving the business flexibility of format changes and redeployment if required. Constantly be looking at innovation in the retail arena and quickly bring about this innovation in our sphere of work. Work on getting the right technology to support this innovation and should not just limit to develop solutions but should also explore buying some of these solutions' basis the cost benefit analysis.
Key Accountabilities:
Manage Concept Development and Deployment
- To develop detailed playbooks, manuals, construction guides, and material specifications for standards across all branded and retail food programs.
- To develop the right vendors who can timely deliver to bring these concepts to life and in a most cost-effective manner.
- To innovate and find solutions to bridge the gaps that may exist in our offerings.
- To support mobilization of new sites (personally lead major projects) and ensure brand standards are maintained and brand value propositions are communicated most effectively.
- Work closely with the partners to build the retail network and not limited to the compass sites but also lead entry into other potential areas which is currently not being catered by us.
- To create effective brand auditing frameworks, frequently visit sites and conduct brand audits and guide units to ensure audit issues are resolved.
Support new retail concept development
- Working with culinary and marketing teams, play a key role in development of innovative, new retail formats including branding and design of solutions, displays and associated fixtures
- Working with culinary and operations teams, manage launch of new initiatives for retail and branded food programs including idea development, profit models, operational strategy, launch plan and reporting
- Working with IT and Innovation teams, guide development of new consumer facing retail technologies to drive participation and frequency
- Connect with all leading Compass geographies (UK, US etc.) to learn and bring in new concepts and ideas relevant for our business context
