Job Title: Trader Sesame (Edible Nuts)

Functional Area: Supply Chain Management / Sales management

Overview of Position:

The trader's role will involve providing inputs towards building a view on the market. China is the single largest market for Sesame with more than two third of Naturals consumption. Role involves talking to trade to get a pulse of the market, monitoring the stock levels in China market, estimating the China crop, projecting the demand in near future (next six months), keeping track of arrivals and local stocks in china, monitoring and predicting the trends. All the above activities are done with an objective of positively influencing the view of the product in running positions.

Trader ensures high levels of customer engagement and issue resolution. For day to day sales and breadth of information collection, the trader is assisted by a Team of National Managers and frontline sales staff.

Apart from these the trader is also responsible for the third largest global market of South Korea.

Key Performance Matrices include:

- Design, implement and manage the sales for Sesame in the geography.

- Support in building global S&D by providing regional inputs.

- Ensure strict adherence to all the laid down systems and procedures without exception.

- Measure, capture and evaluate risks involved with the business encompassing counterparty and Credit Risk.

- Active player of the trading team contributing to trading and positional decisions by providing adequate and timely market information.

- Interface with appropriate regulatory bodies for obtaining permissions, approvals, etc.

- Business Development - opening up new value chains in the regions.

- Devise and Execute Strategy for niche Sesame grades in the zone.

- Capability building amongst local staff & build seamless alignment with Sesame / EN strategy in the region. Guiding, Monitoring and Development of teams below him/her to drive and deliver volumes as per the overall business plan.

Qualifications:

- 6 to 12 years post MBA (Premium B) experience.
