JOB TITLE : Commodity Manager - Battery and Battery Accessories

QUALIFICATIONS :

Engineering Graduate (preferably Electronics or Electrical),Management Diploma and Degree – Materials Management

EXPERIENCE

- 7~10 years

-Currently handling either purchase or sales of industrial batteries – SMF, VRLA, Ni-Cad batteries.

SKILLS

Negotiation, Vendor Management,Knowledge required ,Battery types, Import, export and high seas sales procedure

JOB PROFILE

a) Understand the production, service support & service sales requirement of batteries by interaction with Design, Product Mgnt. & Service Mgnt. across zones.

b Deal with various battery suppliers for fixing supply chain of multi-site to multi-site supplies of SMF, VRLA, Ni-Cad batteries.

c) Fix the pricing and terms & conditions.

d Periodic review of above.

REPORTS EXPECTED

Commodity & Currency trends, Market trends, Monthly Market price movement, Net material cost reduction, Spend analysis, Monthly Volume-value and vendor share history and strategies.
