Key skills and qualifications :

- Graduate/ Postgraduates from UPES/ PDPU/ RGIPT/ MDI institutes having deep understanding of
energy sector will be preferred. Strong academic record at 10, 10+2 and graduate examinations.

- Candidates from the Oil & Gas sector having worked within the Refinery Assay management/ Supply & trading function/ freight function will be preferred. Candidates with at least 1 year to 8 years of post-qualification experience in commodity advisory function of a consulting organization or a corporate/ commodity trading/ Oil and Gas Refinery/ Oil Marketing Companies, middle office/front office - should have understanding of policies, processes, procedures and regulatory reporting requirements and preferably should have played a role in defining them.

- Strong understanding of commodity Supply and Trading operations and derivative products.

- Well-versed in the concepts of commodities price risk management, foreign exchange risk management, interest rate risk management and cash and liquidity management.

- Understanding of Spot and Derivative market operations for commodities and foreign exchange products including risk management (hedging strategies) and valuation aspects of the same.

- Exposure to regulatory compliance requirements would be an advantage

- Exposure to functionalities of Energy/ Commodity Trading systems would be an advantage.

- Past experience/Papers/projects pertaining commodities like LNG/ RLNG, Steel, Iron ore, Coal, Fuel
oil, Distillate/Crude/ Gold, Silver, Copper, Aluminum, etc. will be preferred.

- Well-versed in MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and Power BI

- Knowledge of Analytical tools like Alteryx and Tableau is preferred.

- Strong communication skills to be able to interact with C-Suite

- Leadership experience at school/college level preferable. High levels of commitment to work

Role and responsibilities

- Experienced in developing risk and financial commodity transaction workflows, portfolio and credit
exposure reports, management dashboards, presentations and visualizations to communicate risk exposures, risk attributions and change rationalization using quantitative data analytics capabilities.

- Comfortable with report writing development, presentations and business intelligence software.

- Experience and understanding of commodity price risk management practices on how corporates/ trading organizations support the transaction lifecycle; maintain segregation of duties and segregation between business units for all risk analysis and reporting. Preferrable from oil & gas or metals and mining sector.

- Candidates will review and consolidate independent mark-to-market valuations of commodity transactions and instruments and research anomalies in valuation; ensure accurate mark-to-market valuations of commodity transactions. Comfortable using Bloomberg/ Refinitiv/ Platts.

- The candidate will be expected to lead/ assist assignments involving assisting Indian and international corporate organizations in their commodity operations

- The candidate will be expected to lead / assist Managers and Senior Managers in Corporate Treasury assignments including advisory / Internal Audit/ review of treasury operations areas such as commodities price risk management, foreign exchange risk management and cash and liquidity management.

- The assignments would include providing advisory / conducting reviews for the areas mentioned above covering strategy, policy, governance, day to day operations, process improvement opportunities, compliance to internal directives and regulatory requirements etc.

- The candidate will be expected to take-up/ support business development initiatives and create proposals, responses to RFPs, thought leaderships, etc.

- The candidate will be expected to have very strong communication skills and confidence to interact independently with CXO level

- The candidate will be expected to coach junior team members to ensure excellent client delivery whilst also enabling their career development

- The position is based out of Mumbai and the candidate must be open to travel.
