Position - Commercial Trader (Speciality Cashews)
Location - Ghana, West Africa
- The role is with a leading global commodity merchant and sustainable supply chain management company. They bring over 150 years of market experience and are committed to responsible leadership within the soft commodities industry.
- This experience makes them a top tier participant in each of its core businesses.
Key responsibilities for the role are :
- Centralize the sales functions wherever possible, to gain an upper hand on negotiation and controls.
- Ensure that Procurement plans & schedules are correctly derived from the Sales forecast.
- Keep total vigilance on the market for exploring the right time of buying, spot purchases & maximum procurement at the most beneficial price.
- Develop Vendor relationships in domestic & international market, which includes selecting the right vendor, quality establishment, finalize all the commercial terms & conditions, after working out the market dynamics & benefits.
- Aim at significant reduction in procurement price through market intelligence, currency hedges etc - in close coordination with HO and origins, etc.
The role would report to Head of Sales - Speciality Commodities.
The successful applicant shall be :
- An MBA Graduate from one of the Top 10 Indian Institute or equivalent from another country.
- Must have 5 to 10 years of successful industry experience.
- Must have strong background in Cashew / Sesame commodity (A Sales experience in the same is a strong plus)
